I have 3 full-time and 2 part-time employees, can I still claim for the £500 funding?
Yes! The funding is available to organisations that have 5 to 249 employees (full or part-time).

I am just so busy and I cannot take a whole day out of the business at the moment, but I do want to do some training - what can I do?
Some of our courses can be taken in 2 parts - a morning and afternoon session.  You can take them on different days/weeks to suit you.

I would like to make use of the £500 funding for my team - how can I do this?
Technically, the initial £500 of funding is aimed at the business owners or directors - BUT... there is a further £500 of matched funding available (has to matched by your organisation - ie: you put in £500) - however that does then give you £1,000 (over and above your original £500 grant) to spend and this can be spent on a member/members of your team.

Can I book online?
Not yet! But it's something we're working on. If you want to book, please either call or e-mail us.

Do I have to come back for my business support session and is it with the trainer who ran my course?
You have a choice!  We can either come to you or you can come to us.  You will be asked for your preference when booking your session.  Our trainers do not facilitate business support sessions but they do work closely with the business support execs, to make sure that you get the most out of your session.

Is there any other funding available for small businesses?
We are constantly checking to see what is available for our clients and customers, there are a number of initiatives available (no real money sadly) there are a number of options for you to keep track of what is available -  you could join our mailing list and receive a copy of our newsletter, we also give regular updates on our website and provide links to useful info for small businesses. The Business Link website - under grants and finance is also good for funding information.

Do I have to speak to Train to Gain to secure the funding?
Yes, you need to have the telephone application with Train To Gain but client feedback has been positive regarding this call.  An important key here, as with all business is to be prepared. Train to Gain will be asking you questions about key areas of your business - IT, HR, Staff, Sales, Admin etc... all questions are prefixed with 'on a scale of 1-10' Clients have told us that they got value from the conversation, it was useful in that it made them think about their business in particular it gave them an overview of areas that need attention, improvement, focus and support.
